    Axanthic(Snakekeeper Line)

I was wondering if any of you liked or have a SK axanthic? In ball pythons of the world the adults look much darker than the VPI's. I know VPI's are much more popular but theres also a huge price difference. What do you guys think of them?
    Absolutely obsessed with ball pythons!

IMO, The SK line looks darker as a adults, but the only way to realyl tell, is to see them in person, and i have only seen the VPI in preson. Good luck! I wouldn't hesetate to get both animals!

I have seen a lot more nicer axanthic adults from the VPI line then every other line....both lines have good looking snakes and not so good looking snakes....I will be working with VPI line....

    Re: Axanthic(Snakekeeper Line)

Of both the SK and VPI line axanthics I've seen in person, I'd have to say that you could definitely tell the quality of the VPI line. I saw far more lookers w/ the VPI line than SK. Just my limited opinion though.

    Jon, Nice axanthic!

But Tim...I would have to say this is the nicest I've seen to date.

Can't really tell from the pics but is that an adult? I know the adults tend to brown out a little more than hatchlings.

Its a hatchling...maybe Adam will honor us with some updated pictures of that beauty. I'm thinking he's going to be smoking even as an adult...like a fine wine, better with age.

    Re: Axanthic(Snakekeeper Line)

If you are thinking of working with them for breeders try to keep in mind which line will be most valuable down the road. Since the lines aren't compatible which line will people be looking for...just something from the business side to think about.

    ...But not the only thing

    Re: Axanthic(Snakekeeper Line)

There is a reason for the price difference. I have seen a few nice SK axanthic adults, but the VPI seem to hold their color much better and more often. If I were starting a breeding project I would definitely spend a little extra in the begining to buy the VPI's. You will also have a much easier time selling VPI line offspring than SK line.
