    Pet Stores that Rock..

I thought it'd be cool to start a thread about pet stores that do the right things and care for their herps anf other animals property; since these stores seem to be so rare nowadays!
My nomination is Markheim Pets, located near Buffalo, NY. This place is just awesome; they sell a pretty good variety of snakes and other herps, all in the proper conditions and some info before one buys from them. But what also impressed me is their rodent section; they breed all of their own rats, seperate them to prevent youth breeding, and use nice aspen shavings and nice cage decor.. I ended up buying my new breeder male rat from them, and he is hand-tame and not some wild thing that came in off a truck with red goop on its eyes..
So, YAY for good pet stores! Have any to share?

My Fave is That Fish Place in Lancaster. The place is HUGE. It has a fish-shaped touch tank with starfish, rays and baby sharks in it. Lots of reptiles, and the live fish section is about as big as a PETCO store. And when you buy an animal from them, they do this mini questionaire with you to make sure you are housing and feeding your new pet properly, and do a follow up call as well.

The one and only pet store (besides petsmart) I will actually go to and buy from is this place. JP & Maggy (owners) are two great people who do know their stuff about a lot of reptiles and fish. Both are very friendly and willing to answer questions or help you out with getting the right set up for the animal you are looking to buy or already have. They are just as nice over the phone too. I've been buying animals food, suplies, fish, pet rats, etc from them for years. I actually got my first snake (Jinx my corn) from there.

In Raleigh, my favorite store was Picasso Reptiles. The owner breeds boas, leos, BPs, and other things. He did, however, move the business to his house, where he build a big snake room out in his backyard.
