    help!!

    kk one last noob question... i pormise... where should i put the thermometer/hygrometer, inside the tank hanging from the top or planted on the ground?? and what measures the humidity the actual unit or the probe (really need to know)?? thanks everyone for all your support ill post the pics up tomorrow as soon as the coconut husk dries upp!!

    p.s forgot to ask how in the world do i keep my thermometers planted sticking ON the glass??? my thermometers/hygrometers did not come equip with any sticky or tape or anything... just a whole where a nail should in ito..

    First off, forget about sticking anything inside the cage. Snakes and tape do NOT get along.

    If you're talking about the Accurite-type of thermometer, just place it standing up with the little flip-out stand that it comes with and place the probe under the warm side hide. The unit is best on the floor of the cage because that's where your snake will be spending all of its time. Also, the humidity is measured with the actual unit, and not the probe.

    Lawrence is right...though I would add one comment on setting up the unit I suggest velcro-ing it to something (back wall, tree, hide, etc.) All my snakes love to run out and knock down the thermometers if they aren't attached to something...seems to be a game for them.
