    Bridal sigh of relief today!

I found my dress.. Ended up going to Davids Bridal with my mom, sis and gramma.. I went with the first dress out of 5 I tried on. It has a halter-type top and long train, lots of pearly beadwork on the bodice part; nice slimming effects too!
All of you brides know the relief I am feeling tonight.. Now I do have to take it in for alterations next week; but still, it is in my posession!! Isn't it exciting to look into the mirrors there and see YOUrself in one of these?!

Congrats! Feels great to find "the one", doesn't it?

Does David's have a pic of your dress on their website? *hinthintlinkyhinthint*

And bonus that the embellishment is pearls - when I was looking, pearl accessories and jewelry seemed waaay easier to find then diamondy-crystals, which is what my dress had. =)

Jen, I didn't know you were getting married. I don't always keep up on that stuff, so don't get mad. But what I really wanted to say was CONGRATULATIONS!

Re: Bridal sigh of relief today!

    Congrats!

yeah, it's VERY tough when you're paying for it yourself, or with very little help. PW and I paid for everthing ourselves. My dad surprised us the morning of the wedding and paid the rental for their tuxes when he picked them up.

Yeah! Picspicspics! My feelings were a little more hectic. I had to have mine MADE, and so I had to scramble aaaaall over to find a seamstress, PLUS the money for HER fee, let along the materials for the dress. But it turned out VERY nice and the lady and her mother were friends for a looong time, until we all moved and lost touch. I still have the gown boxed up.

Oh, just a friendly....Be sure to get your gown cleaned and spotted, RIGHT AWAY after the wedding (and by a REPUTABLE cleaners!!!!!). Mine was delayed b/c the open house was after, but across the state, and it was a garden event. By the time the p-poor laundry ppl treated my skirt, there's still a faint grass stain in it.

Keep us posted on the wedding plans.

I agree, can't wait to see the pics! Just one question, though... why so many odd people? Personally, I would have tried to even it out with a few more normal peeps.

Hmmm... I wonder if adding one of those censor-type bars over your eyes in the pics would make it Mark-safe?
