Foxy's Litter at 3 weeks old

Gosh but they are cute at this age. So far I've only had full litters of Berkies (Scarlett's litters) or full litters of black hoodeds (Mrs. Snuggles and Foxy).

    One week old:

Oh you've got one with an almost perfect hood/stripe (second from top on the left in the third pic). Not that it matters with feeders but it's always nice to see a close to perfect hooded.

I think that one's a boy - or else it's the girl I've been eyeing.

I tell you, 12 babies and one momma chomping down on their nummies is certainly loud! LOL

I love when the almost ready to wean big litters start acting up. Poor momma rat stuck in there with 12 or 15 fiesty young rats that all want to wrestle over the same piece of food. Hilarious!

Oh mom is miserable with these young ones - today is feeding day, so she'll have less teat leeches later today.

I tell you, this is the age that is so tough for me to feed off. The only satisfaction I get from it is knowing that the snakes are being fed the best quality food, and that the babies were well cared for, for their short lives.
