I sure hope not with all the pictures that I take!

I'm pretty sure, no, a camera flash won't hurt the ball pythons eyes.

    Re: camera flash damages eyes?

I would think so yes. Thats why I wouldnt have any of my snakes in a dull room with a bright flash. They are termite mound nocturnal animals. I would sya any notcturnal animal would have sensitive eyes to lights alone, but flashing lightd? Ouch. But I may be wrong. I have light sensitive eyes. And youch Camera flashes and bright lights give me headaches and teary eyes. I would think bright lights may upset them. But like I said I could be wrong.

    Re: camera flash damages eyes?

Ive always taken pics of my snakes with the flash on, and it has never appeared to do any harm to them, none of them even flinch when the camera goes off. Although camera flashes are bright, cameras are made for taking photos of people and animals so I very much doubt any damage would be caused. Surely a close bolt of lightening at night (in the wild) would cause an equally intense flash? I always favour natural light for photos, but Ill continue to use my flash when I have to, I really dont think it causes a problem, but again, this is just me, I may be wrong.

    cheers

    Re: camera flash damages eyes?

I'm no expert on eyes but I take flash pictures all the time, I don't believe it to cause them any harm, they don't even react to the flash. Has flash ever hurt any of our eyes, other than to see spots for a bit?
