cold
ok, i have my bp in a 10 gallon tank with a 75 watt bulb, and a 8'x8' uth. the light i have 12h on and 12h off and the uth on 24/7. she usually active at night of course, and if i handle her even a little bit after ive turned off the light, she is quite cold to the touch, and lately she hasnt been moving around alot, it doesnt get below 70F at night (well MAYBE occasionally would dip down to 68F on a really bad night) but shes always got the uth right under her hide and ive put my hand there and its quite cozily warm, so im just worried if my temps are right at night, i know the 68 thing is pretty bad but ill try to let that never happen again.

Re: cold
You don't want it to get below 80(cool side) and 90(warm side). Your temps are WAY too cold. How's your humidity?

Re: cold
Get a digital thermometer from Wal-mart for like $12 and measure your temps inside the enclosure. 68* is a bit cold for that little heater to heat the enclosure to the right temps. You can try swapping out that daytime bulb for an infrared that can be run 24/7 but it will hurt humidity.

A space heater would help raise the overall temperature of your room.

Re: cold
ya but id rather have just her tank heated, not my whole room, i guess ill switch to the infrared, what wattage would you suggest for a 10 gallon? well acutally im gonna be switching to a 35 gallon soon, so whats your recommendation for a infrared bulb for a 10, and 35 gallon?

Re: cold
Like a 60 watt is fine. How big is your python? A 35 gallon may be too big going from a 10 gallon and BP tend to get stressed in large enclosures.

Re: cold
shes about 2ft, if i have enough hides and other stuff i didnt think she would mind the extra space to explore
