    pink belly

    hey everyone, a really pink belly on a bp is a sign of upcoming shed correct?

    Sure is, next will be the dull colors and blue eyes, then the almost normal looking ball python, then the freshly shed ball python.

    Sounds about right to me. Just make sure you're humidity is right, so you dont end up with a stuck shed. Seeing the progression from the pink belly through actually shedding is really interesting (especially the first time).

    My royal was the same except herbelly went pink but hwr body never went dull and her eyes never went blue,it was 2/3 weeks ago now that her belly went pink,about a week after i jlined this thing.no sign of her shedding and the huimidity is perfect.

    Yes a pink bellie is a sign of an up comming shed. Raise the humidity to about 75% for this time to help with a one peice shed, I do this by misting every other day.

    However it can also be a sign of a burn starting. This is why its so improtant to check your temps and keep an eye on you thermostat trust me I know this from experiance.

    Good luck with the shed and we'll need pics of the oily fresh Ball when it done

    i forgot to mention that her belly is no longer pink.hasnt been pink for a week or so.she is stil verry active and spends as much time in her hide as she does in the basking spot and exploring her tank.

    just making sure. ive had 4 perfect sheds in a row. but ive never really seen the pink belly sign. eyes are turning blueish grey already, thanks everyone!
