In reading through this I would be careful. Just moving the probe off the flex and into the tube will NOT fix the fact that your flex watt is being run at a very high temp (110 is way too high). Yes the Helix is lower but if you use your heat gun on the flex watt my guess is it is still at 110+. you don't want the flex much higher than 95 all time (per the manufacturer).
