Fun time feeding today

Today when I fed my BP he struck right away but when I checked on him later he had dragged the mouse into his hide - first time I'd seen that.

I figured he wasn't hungry enough and was just messing around so I got out the tongs and grabbed the mouse and tried pulling it out of his hide....needless to say he was not pleased about that! He threw about 5 coils around it and glared at me with the "MINE!" look.

He did proceed to eat it in his hide this time...though he had to move his entire body out of the hide to make room. Not a really smart thing to do if he was out in the wild....his whole body was exposed but he couldn't see what was going on outside silly creature!

Anyway, the tug of war was pretty fun....glad to see he's still psyched to eat even after I made the mistake of messing with him during the process

lol yea, touching dinner bad, lol I could almost hear your snakes thoughts...

"Mmm, mooooouuussseee...... I'll jsut put it over here for a few minutes and go have a poop first.... HEY! HEY YOU WITH THE TONGS!!! BACK OFF PACO!!! THATS MY DINNER!!!! I will eat your thumbs while you sleep if you try that again!"

They are all certainly unique in their feeding styles. We have one female here that occasionally takes her mouse into the hide to eat in peace and quiet. Other times she just grabs and snarfs them down right out in the open. As long as they are eating...it's all good!
