What's your price range? You can start out on an accoustic. It's "recommended" but when I started playing guitar I was totally bored out of my mind with acoustic. However when I got my first electric guitar, I just fell head over heels! You can get a Squier strat pack for like 219.00. Nothing amazing just good for starter. Or, if you wanna get something "sexy" without going too nuts then here's my suggestions for a great sounding set up that plays well and will give you years of enjoyment and your money's worth!




ESP/LTD are killer low cost, high quality guitars. I've owened 3 so far. This one has EMG-81 pick-ups (Zakk Wylde, Metallica, Slayer) are the pick-ups of choice for these guys. The pick-ups alone with installation would cost you a lil over 300.00! Also, countless others use these pick-ups. Also for your first guitar a stop-tail piece is easy for those who want easy changing of strings. I'd suggest that then over a locking system (Floyd Rose) for a first guitar. The best and one of the cheapest tuners around. Korg is the best when it comes to tuners. They are reliable and steady and always trust worthy. They sell for 19.99

And just get a good cord for 15.00-30.00 and you're ready to rock. With this set up you can rock out and sound killer! Any other questions lemme know! Also, I recommend playing a guitar in-person then looking to buy one on E-bay or on an online store. Some people like big necks, wide necks or skinny necks. I prefer either a big baseball bat neck or a wide neck. Skinny necks kill my hands and make em cramp up.
