I'm not a pro on brb's but I do know they can be nippy as babes, but will calm down with proper handling. They need more precise heat and humidity levels than other boas. They need humidity in the 70% range and heat cannot go over 88 deg. They can get up to 6 ft, but are no where near as girthy as BCI's or BPs.
good post, i have a juvie and he has never even struck at me and always eats but i have talked to others who say that their boa is very mean and always bites. i got mine at a reptile expo and the guy who sold it to me said that each snake has its own temperment. some he showed me bit him and others like mine were calm. and humidity is very important. also i have heard that people overfeed them because they think they are skinny but they are naturally slender snakes. in my opinion, after a shed there is not snake more beautiful than a brb. i am not familiar with other species of rainbow boas.
