Crazy returns?
The thread about the non working acurite made me think. What is the weirdest item you have or have seen someone return to a store.
Weirdest was at a walmart, there was a lady returning a container of apples that went bad. I remembered this because I was in a hurry to get my money order and send it out beofre they picked up the mail.

Re: Crazy returns?
I was waiting in line to cash my check at Stop & Shop (they cash work checks ) and two people in front of me, a guy was returning about 15 packets of brown gravy mix... and he had bought them at a different Stop & Shop. So the chick at the counter was saying how she wasn't -supposed- to allow him to return them because it would mess up their inventory, since it was from a different store. But after he argued with her for a few minutes, she decided to let him do it "just this once"... Gravy Packets. Yes.

Re: Crazy returns?
The day after christmas this year I was working taking in returns and marking them down. Someone returned a package of womens underwear that they clearly tried on. It was gross and I have no idea why someone let them return them. We just tossed the package in the trash.

yup. i agreee, that was going to be what i put. It is so gross when people do that. I hate when they return bathing suits too, i mean, they might have returned them after they tried them on with underwear on, but i highly doubt it.

Re: Crazy returns?
i work in a meat department so i see all kinds of stuff, from 3/4 eatin roast that they said was bad but not bad enough to eat almost the whole thing, meat that has been left out to long (you buy the meat in the summer time and after you do so you want to "run" into another store) and they forget about it in their cars. they bring it back because at the company i work for all meat and name brand products are double your money. we had a guy buy a 150.00 whole beef tenderloin walk right back in the store yell at the cashier and demand double his money back and guess what? they have to do it..

We got a badly sealed prime rib for Christmas and it went bad. $80 worth of meat bad. Sams Club gave us double the money back as well.

Re: Crazy returns?
It's amazing what people try to get away with, they don't notice how cheap or petty they are when they do these returns. I saw this one lady bring a halve of a cantaloupe that looked like it had been through hell and back after she ate the rest of it, obviously she wanted another one.
