Chinese New Year! (DUW)

After the show on Saturday, I spent Sunday with my husband's brother David, and his family. His wife is Chinese and they planned on attending this New Year's celebration that took place in Plano. Unfortunately, Brenda wasn't feeling well Sunday morning, so I went with David and his son, Asher. It was SO cool!!

Here's a few pics...

They had a "Six Lion" dance being led by a "Monk"...




The "Lions" were SO cool...they really do seem to come alive with vibrant personality! Big floppy eyelids and ears...and even the tails in the back would wag and flip! So fun!!!







And then they did a Dragon Dance...this was so beautiful and intricate!!






And lastly...my brother-in-law David...and my totally adorable, scrumptious nephew, Asher...

looks so fun! Miss Mandy and I were invited to a Chinese new years celebration..it was fun!!! of course, there was a table of Texas Hold'em set up and i was in all night...i won a little bit of cash too..fun stuff!!!
