    Help with rack system???

Thought about creating a rack system with stuff from wal-mart, like the rubbermaid dresser type things, not sure what you really call them. I am sure there's someone out there that has done this. How would I heat it???

Use a heat tape like flexwatt. Its thin enough to not catch on the tubs as you move them in and out and easy to set up. Just remember to hook it up to a thermostat. This is the easiest set up for my needs and pretty cheap too.

do you have to get it online, or can you get it at a hardware store?

Do you mean the plastic sliding drawer systems?

Those are in no way secure.. most of them have large gaps in the back that a snake could squeeze out of, plus that there isn't really a good way to get flexwatt in there for heating. I would not recommend those for housing snakes.

Sorry I thought you were talking about using rubbermaid tubs. Shelby is right your going to want something that your snakes cant get out of.

Didnt someone make a thread about doing this, they did it for geckos and if you were doing this for geckos i think it would work fine because geckos dont have the leverage of pushing like a snake does and because a gecko cant climb walls like a snake.

If you want a pretty cheap but awesome rack for three tubs you can check out nsreptiles.com pretty good deals... I have one myself. I know what you mean about the ones from walmart, but that s a terrible idea.

Maybe not, she still hasn't said what she will be putting in these tubs. I found the thread i was talking about earlier. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26752 It seems like it worked out well for geckos.

As long as they aren't arboreal geckos (some do climb walls)
