So--just as an update: My boyfriend came up last night and he and Auryn had their first interaction.

Mostly, it was me taking Auryn out and holding him. Brian was willing to admit that yes, Auryn was cute. He wouldn't touch him, though. He just watched Auryn slither on the bed for a bit, then I put him back for the night. Bri says "eventually" he'll touch/handle Auryn. Guess it'll be a gradual process He doesn't seem afraid of Auryn necessarily...I think he might just be concerned about the unpredictablility of a snake. *shrugs*

Anyway, I call that a success He was skeptical when I told him over the phone that Auryn was "cute"

its funny...my husband is pretty much in the same boat as your boyfriend. he's cool with it as long as it's in the cage. he has even watched him eat twice now, so hes definitely curious about it, but he doesn't want to be around when I have him out of the enclosure yet.

the way I feel about it, as long as he is comfortable with the snake in the house, it's fine if he never gets to the point of handling. I'm just happy he puts up with all my pets and hobbies
