Here's the deal: 1 foot piece of flexwatt on warm side to keep 92 degrees. Another 1 foot piece of flexwatt on cool side (b/c the room temps are too low) to keep temps at 82. 41 qt tub with flexwatt taped to bottom. Water bowl (dog bowl about 8 inches across) in the middle, so it sits a little on the hot and cold side flexwatt. I've read that humidity should be around 50-60% normally, and 70ish % when in shed (he's currently not in shed). My problem is that my humidity doesn't ever really drop below 65%, and I'm just hoping this doesn't cause any problems (could it??). I measure the humidity around ground level on the cool side (if that makes a difference). I've tried raising the bowl up a bit so it's off the flexwatt but it doesn't seem to have any drastic effect (1 or 2% at best). I've added a good amount of holes (about every inch or so) and I'd rather not put any more in b/c it already looks like swiss cheese. I'd rather not cut the flexwatt b/c I think the temps are more important than humidity (unless I'm wrong?). If you've had this problem, please send some help my way...sorry for the long post, just trying to describe the situation.
