Breeding habitats

We're not planning on breeding, so this is purely a curiosity question (if I were a cat, I'd have used up all nine lives long ago). But in looking at all the GORGEOUS breeding pics on this forum, I've noticed that many of the enclosures do not seem to have the amenities that are recommended for pet snakes. Perhaps they're just not showing in the pics?

For instance, many of the rack systems don't, from the pics I've seen, seem to have hides in them, and certainly don't seem to have more than one hide. Is it just common practice to take the hides out when photographing the snake in its enclosure?

Or is there something else I'm missing? Are there different recommendations for breeding snakes or for owners of large numbers of snakes than for pet snakes?

I think some racks by virtue of their design become in effect a large hide Heather so the snakes don't require hides or just one on the warm side.

Bingo! The idea behind it is to make it cave like. Althought I offer a hide in my bigger rack.

I should have mentioned to that I don't know how everyone does it but when we have a pair in breeding there's just the two snakes, newspaper substrate and a water dish in there. They are busy enough doing what comes naturally so I doubt they even think about hides or much of anything else.

yea for breeding the hide comes out gives them room to "move around".
