Need some opinions on a policy and terms...

In spite of a recent mix up which caused me some bad rep, I need to set up a policy and terms to my sales, so it doesn't happen again. The mix up was an honest one, on my behalf and it is being repaid. Here is what I have so far on my terms and policy. Is there anything that any of you can think of to help add to this? I'd like to have a customer friendly, and honest policy to avoid this from happening again.Thanks for your time!

-Terms and Policy-

General- First and foremost, the customer always comes first!! All animals I sell are guaranteed to be 100% healthy and feeding. If you have any questions, please don't be scared to ask. I will answer all questions to the best of my ability.

.Shipping- Shipping will only be done Monday through Wednesday, Via FedEx for next day arrival. It is the customers responsibility to be there at time of the animal(s) arrival, or have someone present at time of arrival to sign for the animal(s) that they have purchased. All animals purchased will be given a live arrival guarantee. If the purchased animal(s) arrive dead, I will replace the animal(s) immediately. In the case that I do not have the particular species, or morph in stock, you will be given credit towards future purchases. Shipping will be done as temperature permits. I will ship in temperatures no lower than 40 F, and above 90 F at both shipping and recieving point. Any purchase exceeding $600, will come with free shipping!

Payment Plan- I do offer payment plans on all animals with a price exceeding $200. I have used payment plans myself, and greatly appreciated the breeders whom have offered them, so I would like to show my thanks by offering this service to my customers as well! A $50 deposit is required in order to reserve a particular animal. Once the animal(s) are payed off, I will ship as soon as possible. To arrange a payment plan, contact me at pmbivittatus@hotmail.com, with your name, what you have ordered, or would like to order, and what works best for you We can and will work something out to best fit your schedule!

Terms and conditions of sale- No sales to minors. Proof of age may be requested at time of inquiry. All sales are on a first come, first serve basis. I will not turn down a sale, because someone after you has money up front and in hand! If you would like to purchase the animal, simply ask me to hold the snake for you, and I will mark the snake as sold with your name on its tub!

Trade- I will consider partial trade, or trade for African Rock Pythons at this time. All animals must be 100% healthy, captive born and bred, and feeding. I will not trade for wild caught, or captive hatched animals. I will not ship first, when a trade, or partial is being done.

How long do you 'guarantee to be 100% healthy and feeding?'

If there is aproblem with a shipment you must be notified with-in 48hrs after shippment arrives. (You will get people claiming something went wronge with the shipment 6 months later.)

How long is the payment plan? 1 month? 6 months? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years? Do you charge a feeding fee? (again you would be amazed how long folks will wait) Is the deposite refundable?????

Do you need a deposite to hold an animal? or can I email you and tell you I really like that snake you have, hold it for me I will pay in 6 months?


These are just some things I have had to deal with when selling animals and plants. I sell a lot of plants mail order and one year I had a guy by about $500 worth of plants from me and he claimed they never grew once he got them(about 3 months after I shipped them). I replyed to him telling him to return them to me so I could see what happened. He sent them back and you would not believe it, but they were still in the same package I shipped them in and the package had never be opened. It still had our shipping label over the 2 flaps of the box uncut!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, the bottom was still sealed with our tape. The plants were still inside wrapped the way we shipped them. This is were our 48 hrs terms came in. I am amazed what folks will try these days!!!!!

In such case you recieve a mis-sexed animal, or the incorrect animal(s), contact me and I will immediately correct the situation for you! If you have any questions, please don't be scared to ask. I will answer all questions to the best of my ability.

It is the customers responsibility to be there at time of the animal(s) arrival, or have someone present at time of arrival to sign for the animal(s) that they have purchased. All animals purchased will be given a live arrival guarantee. If the purchased animal(s) arrive dead, I will replace the animal(s) immediately. In the case that I do not have the particular species, or morph in stock, you will be given credit towards future purchases. If no one is present to sign for the animal(s) at the time of their arrival, then the Live arrival guarantee is Void. Shipping will be done as temperature permits. I will ship in temperatures no lower than 40 F, and above 90 F at both shipping and recieving point. Any purchase exceeding $600, will come with free shipping! If a problem arrises with shipping, notify me as soon as possible, and I will do my best to correct the situation. You must contact me within 24 hours of the shipment problem.

I will give a full 2 weeks from the date that you had asked me to place the snake on hold, for the deposit, or full amount to arrive. In the event the deposit is not send, or I do not recieve a deposit within that 2 week timeframe, the snake will be put back up for sale.



Trade- I will consider partial trade, or trade for African Rock Pythons at this time. All animals must be 100% healthy, captive born and bred, and feeding. I will not trade for wild caught, or captive hatched animals. I will not ship first, when a trade, or partial trade is being done.
