Wow, someone asking about my favorite frog! I have one now (large albino Cranwelli named Benny) and it is the most dull creature on earth, but I would not trade her for anything. Mine spends 90 percent of her lfie buried in the substrate; when I dig her up, she eats, or if she defecates and has to get out of sitting in it, she'll move around in her tub and just dig another hole.
I strongly advise against getting a juvenile. I have tried roughly 6 times in the past few years with juvis, and they all died through no fault of my own. I got my current slammer female as a subadult.. seems like maybe the young ones have a high mortality rate? Many from pet stores will have calcium deficiencies that can lead to an early death.. look for one whose jaws align perfectly and whose limbs are strong and not deformed.. they need calcium supplements on their crickets also..
Any more questions? I don't get to the Amph section very often.
