    Does anyone have Biz insurance?

    Hey all,

So I have been looking into Biz insurance and having a hard time finding someone that insures snakes. I havn't been able to find insurance for liability or for livestock insurance on snakes. I can get basic Business insurance but nothing else. I was just wondering if anyone had any insurance for this and where you got it. Thanks....

I haven't personally used it, but what you are looking for is animal mortality insurance. For exotics, this is ultra-risky, and as such, very expensive. The only company I know of that offers insurance on reptiles (again, I have NOT used them) is http://lkalmanson.com/mortality.html.

I'm not aware of any business insurance that includes mortality insurance on animals.

I have standard business, liability, and workers comp ... under the same policiy my animals are also covered for fire and theft.

I haven't been able to find anyone to write mortality or fertility on exotics, but I'm not worried about it ... happy enough to be covered for fire and theft.

Adam (or anyone else) I have a question.. if you take out business insurance and it incorporates fire or other damage, is it just generic business ins. or do you tell them the nature of your business? I am wondering if Mark could incorporate fire/theft insurance for the snakes into his renovation (and soon, tattoo) business..

Everything we have seen so far said if the business is at home they will treat them like pets and not insure them. If you have a stand alone business I think it will be covered. I am still working on this but Adam may have more info than I have gotten.

    Doesn't work like that.
