Re: My Maryland Ball with a 'tude
justin, give that snake some food! she's pissy because your giving her a snack, not a meal!
she looks like she could go to a crawler rat, a bit bigger than a pup(eyes just ready to open).
she's too big for pinks, imo.

Re: My Maryland Ball with a 'tude
Too bad you don't live near me Justin, I've got tons of lovely crawler/fuzzie rats right now, far more than our four 06's can snarf down. That's okay though, the bigger and older snakes are in for a treat as this crew mature into bigger feeders. Lovely snake!

Re: My Maryland Ball with a 'tude
Freezer burn won't hurt her. The only issue with freezer-burned prey is that it can make the animal smell different and a snake may refuse. Obviously not an issue with yours.

I got a 2 month old in October and he is eating small rats right now! Bump up the size of your prey.

A small rat for a BP that's not even close to a yearling yet may be going a bit overboard. Bumping up prey for Justin's snake from a pinkie rat to a fuzzie rat is very appropriate but there's something to say for not going too far too fast and too big on a weekly prey item.
