Eye Problem On Boa
My brother picked the shed off my boas head last week...he picked it off too early, while i wasnt home.
A few days later I noticed that her eye was off color and had a bucnh of puss on it.
Heres the best pics i could get. I cleaned her tank, using paper towels now...and gave her a bath....No what?

Grey Scale is a good thing...

Her mouth looks inflamed too, does it look like that to anyone else?
She does need a round of antibiotics for that eye and maybe her mouth.
How's she coming into all of these problems so suddenly?

Yes Becky... I too can see that the snakes face looks a bit puffy. Also the scales look to be a bit dented too right around the jaw area.

Re: Eye Problem On Boa
Im trying to line up an appointment to see the vet, but its 100 miles away
And for her mouth/head....thats because I was pinning her down with my hand, because she kept moving around. The scales are alittle dented because my brother took the shed off her face and neck area prematurely and the scales are now rough and ridgid.

Re: Eye Problem On Boa
Theres got to be a closer vet that will see him. Please explain to your brother that pulling a shed off of a snake too early can do serious damage. Try not to yell at him and discourage him from liking the snake. He probably just wanted to help the snake but because he did not know what he was doing he inadvertantly hurt him. Best of luck finding a closer vet and getting him back to perfect health!
