Pics for Robin

I feel awful I haven't gotten any recent pics done of the 4 females we got from Robin. No excuse other than lack of time and hyper focusing on this first breeding season with the 4 adults. Anyways, here's the girls in all their snakey glory....

First up is Doireann 05 Normal Female BP (pronounced door-ee-ann which means "tempetous weather" for her rather flashy personality, she was called Leeloo by Robin)...she's a fantastic snake, slams mice like they are going out of business, she's a bit of a hisser and has some attitude but that's just fine by us...she's a female snake that demands respect and gets it around here....she'll fire out of the tub to grab her mice if you don't move it quick enough for her liking LOL....oh and she didn't care for the stupid picture taking and attempted to constrict the back of my chair in this pic...



Next is Morag 05 Normal Female BP (pronounced more-ahhhg which means "the great one" which she is, she was called Godiva by Robin)....a truly breathtaking female that I adored back when Robin was purchasing her from Will Bird...I was there back then and also when she was named and we feel truly blessed to have this female with us now....opening her tub is a pure pleasure as I still can't quite get over her unique chocolate coloring/blushing...



This is Ailish 05 Normal Female BP (pronounced aye-lish which is the celtic form of Elizabeth, Ailish was named in honor of our younger daughter, she was called Skye by Robin)...she a very shy girl as you can tell by her peeking from her coils (look close and see there her eye is keeping a watch out for trouble...awwwww)....we have to be very quiet when feeding her and generally feed her last so the snake room is quiet for her to feel safe to eat...she is good about handling though as long as you are as gentle as she needs you to be...



Last but never least is little Cara 06 Normal Female BP (pronounced care-ah which means friend and was chosen to honor Robin and her gift of friendship, Cara was called Sahara by Robin)....Cara is an amazing little snake...gorgeous (check out those flames!), extremely sweet tempered and eats like a dream....Cara has never met a mouse she didn't like LOL...she's so sweet to photograph I had to include all three shots since I couldn't pick my favorite one LOL....

They all look amazing Jo, and it's wonderful to see them again! Cara is the most dramatic change, since she was just a wee little thing when she left here in September. She's a little chubster! And of course, Morag made me go awwwwwww!!! She's very special to both of us, I believe!

You're welcome hon. They are all a pure pleasure to have in our collection and in our hearts. Just to let you know about your girl's futures....Dori has a fading that's getting more and more pronounced as she matures...almost ghostlike in some ways so she's slated for a hypo breeding at some point....Cara well she's Riordan the YB's future ladyfriend for sure with them both having such lovely flaming going on....Morag, not sure yet...she's so dark and lovely she'll deserve a special male so hopefully she'll pass on those lovely tones of hers to her offspring....Ailish we haven't decided on yet but likely as well to Riordan for the her first year anyways and we'll see afterwards. It's such much fun to plan and dream for their futures! Pretty sure some of those "future offspring" will end up back in your collection Robin.

Well I guess at some point when we have more snakes we might not know them as well Aleesha but for now Mike and I really enjoy getting to know each of them by their unique look but also by their ways too.

I swear Aleesha I worry more about the snake's "private" lives than my own some days LMAO! Now that we have the mature females and the ones coming up behind them I sure look at male snakes with a whole new eye to who would best suit which of our girls.
