    Re: adulthood

For females, it can range from 3-4 years roughly. I bought an '03 CBB female in 2004, and this year she is up to breeding weight (over 1800g.) That's roughly 3.5 years give or take. It all depende on their feeding and what temps they are kept at, as well as genetics; an underfed snake will grow very slow.
I have never personally raised a male from hatchling (or juvi) to adult, so I will leave that to someone else.

In terms of how often, I feed one snake every 5 days, I have another who will eat every 10 days, and a third one who eats when he wants to, Its been almost 2 weeks and he hasn't ate. So I offer him food every few days till he eats. It all depends on the snake, if you offer her food and she refuses try again in a few days, if she refuses again wait a few days and try again. Just make sure you keep a record of when you attempt and when she does finally eat, that will help you to figure out her eating pattern. Just dont be alarmed if she refuses to eat for quite some time, balls are known for going off eating for several weeks.
As far what what to feed, I feed 2 adult mice to my snake who eats every 5 days, shes a great eater, and hasn't refused a meal yet. Shes my lil piggy snake lol, shes roughly 6 monthes old, and 2 mice add to her girth.
So when you feed you want a noticable bulge in her girth. Not extreme but just noticable.

An appropriately sized meal once a week works well for ball pythons. Develop a consistent routine for your ball pythons and they will adapt well to it.
