Always remember, 95% of the time they can be found within 10-15 feet of their enclosures. Do you have no access to that small space at all? As far as getting further into it or giving yourself more room? They are very sneaky and are experts at getting in and out of spaces. Especially ones you wouldnt even think they could get in and out of. I would try to get into that space where you think it is.

And I wouldnt worry about the stress at this point. If you have a chance to grab its tail, then do it. You should only worry about the snakes safety at this point. He can clear his stress back in his enclosure.


If that is not possible then try the leaving the "fuzzy" close to that vent. The water would not be necessary. An upside down shoe box is probably the best bet. With a hole cut in it of course.

And hopefully you can learn from this and next time not forget to latch your enclosure. lol
