Rat pups (3-4 week old rats) are the most they'll ever need their entire life!

Nice deal Daniel, I'm sure someone will snap that up!

He is a 'scaredy cat' LOL...anything bigger than a rat pup (approx. 25-30 gram rat) and he will not eat. Some snakes are just like that...Larger sized meals intimidate them. Nothing wrong with that though....he is healthy, growing, and producing sperm plugs

i've got a 1600+ gram girl that won't take anything bigger than a pup. no loss--she just gets more than one.

You should think about trying it...

I know its hard to get used to ... but once we scaled back the size of prey we have much more consistent feeders. Our Pied female is pushing 1000 grams, and she is just now moving on from what I would consider extra small pups. She has consistently added ~ 50 grams / month, and has never had a meal anywhere near her own girth. She has not skipped a meal since early September.

I know of breeders here that regularly feeds mediums and sometimes even larges (even 2 at a time!!!), and then wonder why they always have such inconsistent eaters.

    Just my ....
