    Gah I'm so happy!

As some of you know Sebastian is a horribly eater and I'm happy if he eats once a month. I've had him since March 06 and he's only eaten for me 9 times. Long story short he went off eating completly last August and has yet to eat anything. I and a few other people have tried everything to get him to eat. Different feeding tricks to different pray items. We even risked trying to get him to eat a gerbil knowing full well that if he ate it - he may get stuck on eating those for the rest of his life. I didn't care - anything was better then nothing since he looks pretty bad now. He also went from 650grams down to 417 grams. He didn't want anything to do with the gerbil. We were thinking about trying to force feed him, but didn't want to stress him out. We couldn't do a fecal test on him because he hadn't pooped in months so that was a no go. Things were not looking good for him. He finally went blue and that gave us some hope that he may eat after he shed. So we offered him another gerbil. Nope - no go. Went out and got a spiny mouse. Nope - no go. Feeder breeder friend got me a African soft furred rat... BINGO he sucked that down this evening!

So now hopefully he will stay eating and stop trying to starve himself because he's done a good job at it so far! He 2 now and weighs less then my 06 baby girl. So now I need to find myself some African soft furred rats so I can breed them for him since my breeder feeder friend does not carry anything else except for rats and mice.

I'm extremely happy that he ate! Now the challenge is to have him keep eating and to stop loosing weight. I think I might have an anorexic snake...
