My little guy/gal has had no problem eating thawed prey- they seem to rely more on movement than heat. I was told by the vendor I bought mine from that it was eating crickets, but the one time I tried it, it wouldn't touch them. Once I did some research and found out they are lizard eaters in the wild, I switched to anoles and have had no troubles since. I have a heat mat under one end of the cage, and the rest of the cage stays ambient room temp- 75-77 in my house. Mine doesn't care to be handled, and will occasionally vocalize when I have to move it for cage maintenance. So far it has been a fun little display animal, and seems to be fairly hardy.
