The Dude!!

Here's "The Dude" after his bad shed, now I'll post some pics later of him now that hes all shiny and clean!! He's kinda hiding out now after ditching the eyecaps and head skin hes been holding onto for 3 weeks. I swear though once it started coming off I thought he was gonna strike! He came out of the humid hide whipping his head around trying to get the last peice off. Scared the bejeezuz outta me, lol! Then I moved him back to his cage and he was sooooo much more calm being handled, Mainly because he can see now i think!

Well this was taken the day he got moved back into a 20 gallon after that bad shed you saw there.

In his old tank (a 150 gallon) it was hard to keep any lvl of humidity about 40%. You could spray all day and not make it rise. Being a first time snake owner I had no idea what I was doing with that setup.

Now I have him in a 20 gallon running a 81 degree cold side, 93 degree hot side and 65% humidty (the substrate is still drying out some). Ambient temp inteh tank is 82 degrees. Im useing 2 UTH's to keep his temps up since this room is cold. the cold side is on a t-stat. I'm useing 2 digital probe thermometers and 1 humidity / thermo in the tank.
