ambient air temps
Seems like I've been posting questions left and right, so I apologize, but it's the easiest way to get the right answers opposed to guessing. I use a 20g Long with a UTH under both sides (I have heat lamps, but I don't like using them b/c they dry the air out too much). If my warm side is 90-94 and my cold side is 80-84, but the ambient air temps average around 72, is that something that needs to be changed? When I had the heat lamp working, the ambient temps were around 80, but I wasn't sure if it mattered too much as long as the ground temps were right. Thanks for putting up with all my questions!

Re: ambient air temps
Low ambient air temps can get your ball python sick.
I would try to get those temps to 80 deg. Anytime you snake is exposed to tempertures below 75 deg....no matter how or when....there is a chance of getting a RI.

Re: ambient air temps
I would definitely try and get that cool side up. You may want to try using foil on the screen to reflect the heat back down. Also, you can insulate 3 sides of your tank, since glass doesn't not hold heat in well. If you can boost the room temps that will work too.
It's always better to ask questions, than to remain confused and silent.
