Human heating pads are made for "humans" not snakes ... they are designed to be run for short periods of time, not 24 hours a day 7 days a week for months on end ... sooner or later they will short/burn out and your snakes will have no heat ... also, if they obviously aren't providing your animals with the temps that they need to live, what's the point?

Flexwatt, radiant heat panels, ceramic heat emitters, are all excellent choices for providing your snakes with the temps they need to remain healthy. With a room that cold, you'll either have to figure out some way to bump the room temps or use a combination of the products listed above to get your snakes the temps they need ... 82-84 on one side, 92-94 on the other.
