Hotmail? WHAT!?!? Advice please......

So, I'm in the position of needing a new personal Email address... Someone suggested Hotmail... Any thoughts? Hopefully there will be Time Warner DSL hooked up here within a week??? Excuse my ignorance.... but will that come with a Email service!?!? I've been using Microsoft... Concerns, bank statements, etc.........

It's not super fancy but it always works and nice to be able to easily get on from any place at any time

I bet it's just as secure as anything out there

yahoo.com has a VERY simplistic, yet very user-friendly, free email service. It also has in a SPAM blocker, which is helpful. I'd give that a try... I don't have much experience with hotmail, so I can't really give you advice on that.
