Plus with hard classes sometimes it is nice to fill in the 1 or 2 credits you may need to help you graduate on time with less challenging courses.
Taking on more than one person can handle in one semester is a common mistake in college. It is better to do well and demonstrate your learning in 3 or 4 hard classes than demonstrate you can get Cs in 4 or 5 hard classes. So yea it's probably a "fill-in class", but that's not such a big deal as long as you don't take all "fill in" classes.
