    Then and now....

Also the little rat that I saved from being eaten by Hoax, my JCP back on Dec 24th is getting fuzzy, friendly, and fat!

She on the Dec 24th. Eyes were not yet open. Ears were not fully open yet either.

She just a few minutes ago.

Anyone have a name suggestion for HER?

    Re: Then and now....

She looks like a mink wedge blazed cap stripe(not a complete hood).

And Mark, adding blazes to your breeding colony wouldn't be a good idea. Most can carry the megacolon gene, especially if they are from pet stores and you don't know their background. And that's not something you'd want in your colony. Pet rat breeders have been working VERY diligently to try to eradicate megacolon from any of their animals, breeders or offspring.

    Re: Then and now....

Oh I like the C.C. name lol. She's adorable. We have three minks in our rat colony (all breeder females) and it's a lovely color though I've yet to get any that show the mink color in a pattern like yours. Just make sure that little cutie has a cage mate of the same gender to play and snuggle with and she'll make a lovely pet.
