Is it okay to treat with PAM today even though...

Serpi had a feeding yesterday, but has been soaking all day which tells me that the mites are getting worse maybe? (I've been treating with Jurassi-Mite that I got at Petco to use for temporary relief until I got the PAM). I just got the stuff in the mail and I don't want him to suffer any longer than necessary, but I don't want him to regurg on me either....

    What should I do?

I'd wait until tomorrow to do a full scale treatment. Since he ate yesterday the stress might be too much and cause a regurge.

Okay, that's what I'll do then... I was thinking the same thing.

Is it okay to just let him soak as much as he wants/needs until then? I certainly don't want a case of scale rot to go along with the mites.

Used correctly, the treatment shouldn't cause any major stress. Remember, PAM treats the enclosure and its contents (less the water bowl), not the snake itself. Just make sure the cage dries completely before introducing the snake back into it.

In any event, its better to wait 24hrs after a meal to do anything with a snake, really, if you want to be on the super safe side. But honestly, I don't think it makes a difference.

Okay, thank you both for your quick replies. We have company coming over tonight, and they will surely want to look at Serpi (they haven't seen him yet) so I think I'll wait till the morning.
