Ok let me describe my set up real quick before I ask my question.
For my BP I have a hide on each side of the tank. Warm side is 90 degrees and the cool side is just a tad below 80. The snake is doing well, eating fine, there are no problems that I can see. But the cave on the warm side of the tank feels hot, like a heat rock, and this is worrying me.
If I use a lower wattage heat bulb the temp will drop too low so I've been using a 100w bulb. Now if using a heat rock is dangerous isn't a hide box or cave that gets too warm under the heat lamp just as bad?
I hope I'm explaining this right.![]()
