Finally got a measurement
With a lot of patience and some yarn, we finally got a semi-accurate measurement of our male, Puppy. He measures in at almost exactly 5'2" long. Not sure how much he weighs yet... he's a chubby little guy. Though this is also a post feeding picture.

12 inch ruler as reference, lol

I'm sure that is pretty accurate, but if ya want even more accuracy, take the picture completely overhead, not on so much of an angle.

Well, we've had one vet and a pet store tell us male. So we're going to try a second vet, and if they say boy, then that's three votes for male. Sooo we're pretty sure =]

Well for one I'm too short to get him completely on the screen from overhead. For two, the picture had nothing to do with the accuracy of the measurement. We took yarn, and holding him, had it go from the tip of his nose and follow his spine down to the tip of the tail, then measured it with a measuring tape. So yes. The picture had nothing to do with that part.
And yup. He's a little chubby guy. Well. Maybe not little. haha.

I'm sure he just assumed that you were aware of the snake measurer sofware that you can download here, where you can get an accurate meausurement of Puppy using the ruler as the size reference and then let the software figure out his length.
However, for it to be truly accurate, the angle should be straight down on snake and object of known length (like a pack of cigarettes for example).
Here's the software if you're interested.

I tried that program a few times but when the snake gets over 4-5', they seem to be harder to get a picture from straight above. Yarn is more acurate than the program on larger snakes in my experience
He is a very nice LITTLE guy!! lol I'd be curious to see what he weighs.
