    I cannot believe it

I have been wanting my pair of boas to breed for so long. I thought they had done it before but today (this morning) is the first time I have witnessed a real snake mating. Heres how it happened... I went back to my reptile building and I started to pick my female up to handle. As I lifted her I saw the male boas, trigger, testicle acually going into the female. It was almost a bluish color. Is that normal? I actually ran back to the house and got the cammera but by the time I got back these are the pics I got.

I do believe those pics need to be resized or just put the links for the pics.

    Re: I cannot believe it

They don't seem that big to me, but my computer resizes big pics..
Hm.. this is something I too had to wrestle with; the urge to photograph breeding snakes. I did get a few shots of mine, but it is probably just a good idea to back off next time and let them do their thing, or they could get too shy like this time, and seperate..

You can actually hurt the males hemipenis by lifting the female away from the lockup.I know you did not do it on purpose. How old is the female and how large is she? Not being rude here just wondering .
