    Yipee!!! My rack finally arrived

The night before I was leaving for Colorado ( 12/22) My Boaphile rack arrived, only took 7 weeks. As I was leaving out at 6am the next morning to catch my flight I only had time to open up the box and inspect everything.

Well I got home last night ( just before the second big storm hit ) and got the Helix set up and my accurite in the tub and I am letting everything run and get stable before I move Ozzy in and finally get to go pick up my lemon pastel from Adam @ 8ball.

So far everything seems to be working and running fine, I may have to drill some holes to get the humidity down as it is around 72 and I don't even have a water bowl in yet. For Ozzy I am going to still use reptibark as he is use to it and I don't want to freak him out to much with to many changes all at once. I still have to add hides etc but I first wanted to get it running with just the substrate in and the accurite and then add the water and hides and adjust from there.

I taped the probe from my Helix right in the bend of the flex and secured w/ clear packing tape as was suggested by Jeff @ Boaphile on the bottom rack and I have Ozzy's soon to be tub second from the top.
Seems to be heating up quick but I have the Helix set on 95 and it as of yet has not shut off the flex. Tub temps now are 89 hot side and 79 cool and they are climbing. When I slide out and check w/ my temp gun they are very close to what the accurite is showing. Same as when I slide out tub and put my temp gun right on the flex it varies from 94 to 98 depending which shelf.
I am assuming as it heats things will adjust and settle down.

Once it is all set up and critters in I will post some pics.

Will do. I know I will miss being able to see my guy running around his cage and such.
But the rack will give my the space I need to add to my collection.

Congats on the rack; melting holes into the tubs with a soldering gun should solve your problem with humidity.
I for one can vouch that racks are awesome. I always swore that I would never have one, I would use glass tanks.. but I have 7 tubs in the same footprint that one tank took.. anyone can do the math there!

Yeah, I am a little behind on that
I am waiting until I pick up my lemon pastel from Adam so I can just post pics of all. I am going to get him on Sat the 20th

I haven't had to add any holes to my tubs. Temps have been staying right around 81 cool and 93 hot w/ humidity around 54-58 depending on how much the house heat comes on w/ the humidity levels. My room stays pretty cool so I had to buy one of those mini tower heaters to keep over by the rack otherwise I would have to keep the heat in my house on like 80 to keep my room warm enough. Thankfully it has been wonderful weather in metro dc area. Heck today it's already up to 73.

I have to say after just this short time I am 100% sold on the rack system!
