    got bit

I was trying to take some pics of my boy's corns & got bit. I guess the snow (from what I can tell by looking at y'alls pics) doesn't like the camera, it's a feisty one, the other a reddish one seems to be a sweety. It didn't hurt, I had teeny tiny pinpoint blood spots. Can a person have a slight reaction to them though? It sort of slightly tingled & barely welted up ..... or it could have been all in my head. I never liked snakes, was scared of them but let my boys get some & now they're really cool, especially the balls. They're so laid back.

    here's the red one

sorry about the double .... the first ones were small & I was hoping someone could tell me what kind it was, so I thought they might need to be bigger

Nice pics. You can use a free program to crop/resize them then either put them in a free photobucket account and just cut and paste the IMG tag here or upload them into your free gallery here at BPNet and cut/paste the IMG from there, either works great. Here's a link to the download for the program I use for my pics.

That is a beautiful albino corn snake.

People don't usually have reactions to corn snake bites.. they don't even hurt usually. lol

    Re: got bit

I would say if there was what seemed to be a reaction it's likely to just be the ridge you get around a scratch from anything since its likely the teeth kinda scraped a little as it pulled away. I have never heard of a corn bite reacting, but I guess there is a chance of being allergic to them same as any animal...? anyone know for sure about the allergy aspect?

    Re: got bit

Well hey, dont feel bad for being concerned about it. I was kinda nervous after my first bite too, and I'm still pretty observent for several hours after a bite from a new species (since i still dont know for sure if allergies can play a roll in things, although I'm pretty sure we'd have heard about it by now if it was an issue).
