yes it did help very much. i'm covering the top of my cage very well. all is covered (not air tight covered) except the area in which my ceramic is at right now. I haven't got around to getting a UTH yet. just a financial thing. I got the thought though, tell me if this is viable. 2 UTHs, one under her water source on the cool side and one just under the substrate on the warm side. thermostats on them and use them together to try to keep the temps the same. I'm just sceptical of how much a UTH will keep up her temps in comparison to the heat that my ceramic 100W pumps out.
My next purchase (other than the UTH and thermostat) is going to be a large piece of drift wood (to help with shedding and fill up more room in her cage for her security). and cover it with that moss, also fill both hides partially with moss. misting that moss regularly should help out alot i'd think..
Right now i have a very good portion of the tank covered on the top. and 3 water sources. i mist as often as i can think about it, but i do work full time so i can't do it non-stop. Right after a misting, her humidity will go up to a solid 40%, then drop down to around 25%. warm side 93F cool side 80F. i put water sources in front of both of her hides, so i'm thinking that maybe that helps out with her humidity, even though her ambient humidity is low.
Anyways, let me know what you think of having mulitple UTHs..is it a waste? will one be enough to keep temps, with it being under the water source and all?
