If having it under there makes her temps too low, i'll use my ceramic lamp and the UTH. Right now i got cardboard with a towel (for weight) over about 70% of her screen top. Her warm side is SLIGHTLY warm at about 100F and her cool side is around 86F. don't know if that is anything to be concerned about...

is misting the cage enough? and if so how much am i gonna mist each time i do it?
how much is putting UTH under her water going to raise it? how much is wrapping 75% of her lid with plastic going to help? that is going to be a major pain with the sliding type of lid she has right now... humidifiers? are they worth it?

I'm living in a basement and my main source of ambient heat in my room is a space heater. Dry heat. would tossing a humidifier in my room be a great help?

Bottom line...i got 20% humidity and i'm more than willing to do what it takes to get it up to 50%, and 70% when she sheds...i just don't know how to quite go about it!
I just switched to a UTH and a thermostat and it was a great decision...I think everyone should use this method....try to get that warm side down to 94 and the cool down a little more to 84....just mist the cage so it gets damp, dont ever mist so much that its dripping wet.....I had the same humidity problem but mine was at 45% all the time and i just mist often and put the waterbowl over the UTH and its up to 50% now......the reason your humidity is that low is because of the lamps you are using....they suck the humidity out of the cage...believe me i have experience with that because i used to use an all lights setup and i was getting humidity like you have....
