alright, i turned off the space heater in my room...got the vent going though. so now my room doesn't feel like an oven. She's basically going off room temp with a ceramic 100W on her warm side. i misted 5 minutes ago...got 25% humidity and 95F warm side 80F cool side. Seems better...i also took a piece of cardboard. cut it to fit the entire lid (except the ceramic lamp, so there is some air flow) i wrapped it in aluminum foil...so i'll be going to bed and waking up to check temps and humiditys...see where we are then

i understand a UTH is alot better for my type of set up..just haven't got around to ordering one and a thermostat
