My BP has a drastically low humidity...20% right now. Her temps are fine, she has plenty of water supplies. although i'm interested in switching from a heat lamp to an UTH with a thermostat...probably gonna toss that under her water supply to get some more humidity. If having it under there makes her temps too low, i'll use my ceramic lamp and the UTH. Right now i got cardboard with a towel (for weight) over about 70% of her screen top. Her warm side is SLIGHTLY warm at about 100F and her cool side is around 86F. don't know if that is anything to be concerned about...

is misting the cage enough? and if so how much am i gonna mist each time i do it?
how much is putting UTH under her water going to raise it? how much is wrapping 75% of her lid with plastic going to help? that is going to be a major pain with the sliding type of lid she has right now... humidifiers? are they worth it?

I'm living in a basement and my main source of ambient heat in my room is a space heater. Dry heat. would tossing a humidifier in my room be a great help?

Bottom line...i got 20% humidity and i'm more than willing to do what it takes to get it up to 50%, and 70% when she sheds...i just don't know how to quite go about it!
