Just wondering if there is a particular time of year , or season, when RIs seem to be more prevalent, like flu season with people.

Yes, winter ... cold temps cause RI's ... keep your snakes warm and you'll never see them ... ever. And if you think you're temps are "perfect" and they're still getting RI's, you probably are missing something.
