    A Record

Does anyone have a form or something of that nature that they use to keep track of sheds, feedings, weights, and such? I'm using Exel right now to keep track, but it feels rather sloppy and I'd rather have a form that is easier to follow and keep track of. I want to moniter length, weight, girth, all that jazz, and I need a well thought out form to do it with. Anyone got a copy of a form they use?

I'm using excel as well. It works well for a few snakes..but as my collection grows, I can already tell that opening one at a time is going to become a time consuming task. There is some software called Herp Care Software that seems neat..i just haven't had time to really dive into it.

www.Degei.com. Its great keeps up with feed, poop, shed, weights, pics for Id, tons of stuff the every day keeper wouldn't use.

I used to use excel but it took more time and as the collection grows I wanted something easier so now I use degei it works great and make it way faster plus you can print out all kind of report you need http://www.eyehit.com/degei/support.htm

www.degei.com is the one we use. Very simple to use, free to try and just an all round great programme for the hobbyist or smaller breeder.

    Re: A Record

a lot of people have records and stuff, but as soon as my snake goes to the bathroom, or sheds or something like that i go ahead and record it on a calendar. I make a few calendars, with pictures of the kind of snake that they are in each month.

I've been using Metzcal, which is a free software that seems to be very easy to use and extremely flexible...it has all kinds of cool functions I haven't even explored yet...it graphs weights, feedings, etc and even does genetics for when you start breeding. I've yet to find anything it can't do. Every now and then it throws a minor error, but nothing fatal.

    Re: A Record

I use metzcal myself. I've found some of the breeding lineage things to be very interesting and will be very useful further down the line as I continue to breed animals.
