    How Long to Shed?

The first time that Fluffy shed, he showed clouded eyes on Monday and on Tuesday he shed.

This time he showed clouded eyes on Sunday and it is Tuesday already and he has not shed. The humidity is between 65% and 75%, I can't remember what it was last time.

How long does it normally take to shed?

    Re: How Long to Shed?

Its usually about 4-6 days after they clear up that they shed In my experience. It depends on the snake. When I was new to snakes, I saw them go from blue to clear and said "wheres the shed at?" and I would find it a few days later then feel stupid for worrying. Good luck

    Re: How Long to Shed?

    Hi,
My ball sheds pretty soon after clearing, whereas my beauty snake took about 10days last time! I thought she'd forgotten to shed! All snakes are different, if your snake has cleared, you'll be guaranteed to see a skin pretty soon!

Akiva, mine normally shed 2-3 days after their eyes go to clear (after the blue). Mine follow the shed process pretty much to a "t" that Daniel outlined in this awesome write up (with clickable pictures, no less! )

    Re: How Long to Shed?

Fluffy shed this morning. All is good! I feel like a new daddy all over again. I worry about everything. BUT Fluffy is getting a NEW CRIB!!! I have ordered a single tub "Snake Shack" from Natures Spirit Reptiles.

He is getting big enough for a full-sized enclosure - almost two feet long.

My ball was blue yesterday (blue balls?? ). He normally clears the next day and sheds the following day. Also he's alway eaten during a shed, either while blue or the next day. I don't alter his feeding schedule. He's been a great eater.
