Re: wooooooohoo
from what he says, boot camp sucks. the stress is major, and you have to be mentally and physically strong to get through it. BUT he's also glad he went through with it.

Re: wooooooohoo
I am happy for you I hate to admit this, but I had to spend One night away from Mark last year, because I was stranded at my mom's due to weather; I could not sleep through the night! I am just so attached and mated to him.. now I am also very independent and enjoy my time alone, but for some reason it really upsets me; Mark wanted to be an over-road trucker, and I convinced him not to.. now, he has a construction firm, and works horrifically long hours, but at least we are together at night and on weekends.. kudos to you for being less morbidly attached to someone as me! (and I am 26!) It is awesome that he is out doing something with his life.

Re: wooooooohoo
ah.... Basic Training good times...well at least when it was over LOL I went through basic and infantry school in 2002. I am also in the National Guard, although I can't say I'm pleased with the situation but its more unit level problems than overall...I hope.
Anyway...I know I was excited to come home and see my wife. It was hard to leave the first time, and the second time when I went back to finish wasn't any easier but we got through it. I'm glad I got to have the experience, its definitely something that will not be forgotten.

I went through basic training in 1978. Once the training is over it will get better. I hope that he does not have to go to Iraq. If he does, he will be in my prayers as I pray for all the soldiers and Americans that are there defending democracy.
My best wishes to you and yours!

Re: wooooooohoo
thanks everybody! He is home, and it is so nice! I hate to say it, but it is actually weird to see my boyfriend on a regular basis, because he has been gone for so long. BUT, i'm happy he is home. At first when he got home, his language was...uh...colorfull (lol), but now he's out of his baracks life mode, and his normal self. he bought this necklace for me, which is absolutley beautiful, it is 1/2 of a heart, and he has the other 1/2 and when you put it together it says, "the lord watch between me and thee while we are absent from one another"
It is so meaningful, i love it
