Pair of bp's still not eating....getting frustrated

guys i just don't understand what i'm doing wrong. I've tried everything from adjusting temps, newspaper trick, f/t to p/k to live to switching to mice instead of rats etc. etc. etc. etc....these two are just the hardest snakes i've ever had to deal with, and i'm beginning to get very frustrated every time I open their feeding charts and see "fail, fail, fail, fail, fail"

    Here's the female's chart:

    and the male:

the odd thing is, the breeder i got these two from, a month later i got two 06 hatchings that are beasts at feeding time..havn't failed a single feeding.

I have not cycled either snake, so i don't believe it's them just showing interest in breeding...the female is too small, and i haven't seen the male produce any sperm plugs.

I've read, searched, asked, and tried a lot of different things. I know i have to be patient...but these charts are just not acceptable.. I feel like i'm doing something terribly wrong, but then i look at my other 3 and see how aggressive they get when they smell their food. I don't know what else to do.

Did you offer them the same prey they are used to eating when you aquired them?

    Nate how old are they?
I've yet to see my male produce any sperm plugs, but my breeder friend said he's ready. As soon as I got those two female BP's in my house.... he's been off feed.

    Ugh. :-(

I'm experiencing something similar with a 300g CB '06 girl who ate a small mouse reliably every week for months and then abruptly stopped; today was her fifth weekly refusal and I'm getting ready to take her in to the herp vet. Her conditions are unchanged from when she was eating so well; she just kinda stopped one day. I've left her completely alone except for very brief spot checks, she's got hides plus smooshed newspaper and she's in a rack with the other kids I got around the same time, all of whom are eating just great. It's baffling and annoying.

I'm not certain on age. As of the last weigh in, the female is 1105 and the male is 915g

The male has gained a little weight, but the female has lost a bit. she weighed 1255g on 9/13. on 11/30 she weighed in at 1105g.

Re: Pair of bp's still not eating....getting frustrated

Are these wild caught snakes? If they are then in the wild they go w/o food for longer periods of time and may not be used to the type of prey you're giving them. I have a WC snake that will eat rats if they are left in the enclosure and covered with a towel or blanket to keep light out. I come back in 30 minutes and the rat is gone. My other WC BP hasn't eaten in a month but it IS winter time and she could be reacting to the temperature change. (don't know where you live though) Funny thing...1 of my captive bred snakes will eat everything and 1 is very picky. 1 of my wild caught bp's will eat anything and one won't eat alot. It is frustrating. If it gets to a point where your snake seems to be getting too skinny you could try force feeding. Take her or him to the vet and have them do it if you don't want to try it.

What does the breeder that sold you the snakes have to say? He/she knows them better than anyone ... they should be able to give you little tips/tricks that worked for them?
